19th Annual Kinetic Sculpture Race

A race of wacky, imaginative, TOTALLY HUMAN-POWERED WORKS OF ART, DESIGNED TO TRAVEL ON LAND, THROUGH MUD, AND OVER DEEP HARBOR WATERS, constructed out of used bicycles, gears, and parts, created by a lunatic genius who tinkers around in the garage or backyard (do you know this person?)! The machines can be simple, small crafts, piloted by only one brave soul, or they can be over 50 feet long, extremely well-engineered, sophisticated vehicles powered by a team of pilots.

17th Annual Mid-Atlantic Celtic Festival

Experience Scotland and the Celtic nations without the travel! Family-oriented. Honors veterans and wounded warriors. Highland games; Celtic rock and traditional music; bagpipes; dog friendly. Love to shop and find those unique Celtic items for you or a loved one? Shop ‘til you drop! Sample the finest Celtic foods and drinks (whisky, beer, mead) available. Love Celtic music and dancing and cannot resist the urge to sing out loud or dance a little jig? Three stages filled with Celtic rock, acoustic music, and traditional songs—plus a dance stage. Love the Highland Games? Imagine cheering your favorite athletes from the amphitheater-like hillside perhaps like our ancestor did so long ago.
